I am really enjoying doing these quick and easy cards! You can put together one of these in 10 minutes or less.
The Butterfly card uses the set Dream Du Jour and the Star card uses the stamp set Occasionally. I bought this set during the recent Incentive sale and had not used it yet – but it is perfect for making this style of card.
Butterfly card – Card colours are Kiwi Kiss, Chocolate Chip, Whisper White. Inks are Pretty in Pink and Pixie Pink. Ribbon is Chocolate Chip grosgrain. The bow is tied separarately and stuck on with a mini glue dot to the ribbon on the card. Attaching your bow this way gives a nice smooth finish to your ribbon.
Star card – Card colours are Night of Navy, Real Red and Whisper White. Inks are Night of Navy, Real Red and Whisper White. Ribbon is Real Red grosgrain. Again the knot is tied separately to the ribbon attached to the card.
Don’t forget to come and say hi if you are at Paperific this weekend.
Thanks for looking!
Only one more week until the Paperific 2010 Show! It is on next Friday, Saturday and Sunday – March 5 -7 at the Melbourne Showgrounds in Ascot Vale.
My team and Gail Kirby’s team have a Stampin’Up! stand at the show so do drop by and say hello. We have a free make and take table as well as demonstrations using Stampin’Up! goodies. We will have some lovely projects to show you using the gorgeous Sale-a-bration sets. Remember if you make an order with us that is over $100 before postage, you can choose one of these sets for free! That’s right a $30 Sale-a-bration stamp set for FREE! If you come by when I am on and ask for me I’ll throw in a special gift for you when you make an order! I’ll be on the stand on Friday and Sunday and I’d love to see you for a chat and show you Stampin’Up!’s lovely products.
I’ve added another one of my Clean & Simple style sample cards using one of the Sale-a-bration sets – this one is Happy Moments. this set is terrific for colouring in. I’ve used the marker pens along with the blender pen to do the colouring. the backing card is Pink Passion.
Do come and say hello if you are at Paperific!
While I am on a roll downloading photos thought I’d add this one as a follow on from my previous post.
This is another card using the same layout as the Good Neighbours card. It is so much fun going through your stamp sets to see how you can come up with new ways of being creative with them!
Stamp set used here is Embrace Life. Colours are Handsome Hunter, Chocolate Chip and Certainly Celery. Flowers were stamped in Basic Brown and coloured using blender pen, Rose Red and Regal Rose inkpads.
I am so loving creating these quick and I think, lovely cards!
I thought I better get another card on display using one of the Sale-a-bration sets you can earn free this month and next. How? By placing a $100 order for Stampin’Up! products with me!
I’m on a “Clean & Simple” kick with my card making. One of my downline put me onto this terrific blog called Clean and Simple. I’m going to add it to my side bar of blogs followed so as you can go and visit them. The girls there come up with wonderfully simple and clean layouts. I have had so much fine creating cards over the last couple of weeks using their layouts.
My team and I are at Paperific next week and we are creating card posters for our display boards on our stand. I am going with the Clean & Simple theme so have made quite a few cards for displaying.
Anyway, back to this card. Do tend to ramble after doing night duty and go off track with my thoughts!!!
The card colours are Close to Cocoa (again), Chocolate Chip and Old Olive. Images are stamped on Whisper White using Stampn’Write markers.
Stamp set from Sale-a-bration catalogue is Good Neighbours. Words come from Friends 24-7.
I’ve looked and looked at this set (Animal Crackers page 52) in the main catalogue and thought how cute it was – so finally bought it!
I needed a couple of baby cards so made this version, which was quick and easy and I thought very cute!
Colours are Close to Cocoa and Summer Sun. Background is Polka Dot and Star punch.
Did adapt the star idea from the sample in the catalogue, but that is one of the great things about the Stampin’Up! catalogues – all the inspiration and ideas in them.
My Mum gave me back all the cards I had ever made for her – a very big bag of cards! On going through them, apart from the memories of making them and sighing over long ago bought stamp sets, I was inspired by one card I had done and decided I just had to do an updated version using Stampin’Up! products.
It was so much fun going through my stash of goodies finding bits and pieces that would work with this idea.
So it is a 6×6 inch card and colours used were Kiwi Kiss, So Saffron and Very Vanilla. The DSP is Bella Bleu and it is overstamped with images from Bella’s Bloom, Fresh Cuts, Fifth Avenue Floral, and Life Definitions.
Embellishments were punched flowers using Trio Flower, Pretties, Button Latte, Filigree brads and Die Cut Blooms Again.
It really was lovely card to create and so much fun to use so many different elements in creating something that I was very pleased with. It goes to show just how well all the Stampin’Up! products work so beautifully together
What do you think?
Yes I can come up with my own card ideas! But I loved this card so much when I saw it on Alisa’s blog that I just had to make it for my youngest son’s 17th birthday last week.
I love the colour combination of Taken with Teal, Tempting Turquoise and Green Galore.
Stamp set used is Nature’s Nest.
My son thought it was terrific – what more could a Mum ask for!
You can see Alisa’s cards at www.alisatilsner.com/blog/ She does the most amazing and inspiring cards.
This card is a CASE (Copy and Show Everyone!) of a card on my downline Simone’s blog and she cased it from another talented stamper Kirsty Brown. It is interesting to see how we have each changed the colour schemes and added our own little twists to a clever way of using the sweet treat cups.
The colours I used are Elegant Eggplant, Lovely Lilac, So Saffron and Kiwi Kiss. I rather like this colour combination -may have to do some more cards using it!
Stamp sets are Upsy Daisy, Pocket Silhouttes, Something Sweet and Flight of the Butterfly.
Hope you like it!
Here are some examples of one of the Sweet treat cup cards we are going to make in my classes this month.
They have a sliding tab so as the goodies can be removed without destroying the card! Pretty nifty!
Stamp sets used are Petal Pizzazz from the main catalogue and Something Sweet from the Summer Mini catalogue.
If you would like to book into my class, it is being held at 7.30pm Thursday Feb 25 and 1.30pm Saturday Feb 27th. Cost is $15. Please email me for further details.
