One of my close stamping buddies recently had a major birthday so to mark the occasion I made her a very special card – a tri-shutter card.
I’ve seen so many lovely versions of this card on many of the blogs out there and have always wanted to try one so Jan’s birthday was the ideal opportunity!
It was a fun card to make because you can go through your stash of goodies and start adding embellishments where ever you want them! Again it is a great example of how well everything in the Stampin’Up! range co-ordinate so beautifully together.
I enjoyed making this card so much that I have decided to teach this technique at my monthly card class in April!
Cardstock used to create this card was Night of Navy, Bordering Blue and Very Vanilla.
Double sided paper is from Bella Bleu.
Ink is Brocade Blue.
On Board Timeless Type was used for the numbers and letters.
Stamps used are Frames with a Flourish, Bella’s Bloom and Simple Serif Alphabet.
Embellishments are from Pretties kit,
Very Vanilla taffeta ribbon, Build-a-Brad, and Eyelet Border punch.
I can’t wait to try making some more of this style of card to show at my next class!
Better late than never!
Here are my card display posters I made for our stand at Paperific recently.
Sorry about the cello bag reflections. Some of these cards you have seen in earlier posts, but I wanted to show you how the overall look was so as customers could see how one layout could be changed by using different stamps, papers, embellishments and colours.
Also had to post these cards before Sale-a-bration and the current Summer Mini catalogue finish on March 31st.
If you would like to make an order please email or call me by March 25 as I am not going to have reliable computer access after that date for a couple of weeks.
I’ve been having a wonderful time playing with the Sweet Treat Cups! I’m so pleased that they are continuing in the upcoming Autumn Mini catalogue – oops let the cat out of the bag there!
At the recent Paperific Expo my demonstration time was spent playing with these and showing how to create these designs with glitter in them. The set I used is A Flower For All Seasons. The design fits perfectly into these cups.
Colours used are Green Galore and Gable Green. I coloured the stamped images with Stampin’Up! marker pens.
Do have a play with these cute little cups sometime and see what you can create!
Well what a difference a storm in Melbourne makes! The previous post showed our stand at Paperific before the heavens in Melbourne opened on Saturday afternoon. 40mm of rain and hail in 10 mins is not kind to roof structures and ceilings. The hail storm appeared inside along with the storm. My team were evacuated along with everyone else in the building. The area was deemed unsafe and so the show had to be cancelled for today. It was a very sad time for everyone going in and packing up this morning.
Fortunately our stand and displays escaped major water damage – bit damp from humidity but they will be okay. That can’t be said for the demos who were there yesterday and their cars. Universal hail damage for everyone. Golf ball size plus hail stones and cars do not mix well.
Thankfully everyone in the team is safe and okay. For everyone in Melbourne who experienced the storm it was an experience not to be forgotten in a hurry. I certainly have never seen anything like it! The same goes for my car too………….
Thankyou Juliana and Simone for the photos.
Here are some photos of our stand at Paperific that is on this weekend at the Melbourne Showgrounds. We had a wonderful day today meeting and chatting to some very keen and excited papercrafters. It is amazing how many people know about Stampin’Up! now and LOVE their products. More of the team will be at the show on Saturday and Sunday so do come along and say hello.
I started making one card using with this layout from the Clean & Simple blog and it was sooooo quick to create that I couldn’t stop!
They were created for my card posters for displaying at our Stampin’Up! stand at Paperific this week. My poster theme is based on the Clean & Simple layouts. They show how one layout can be used to create so may different looks. When I have them all mounted I’ll post a photo here for you to see.
The stamp sets used are Hello Again, Animal Stories (both from the Summer Mini that finishes at the end of this month), Fresh Cuts and You & Moi.
Thanks for looking!
