These cards were created for a workshop that I did with one of my lovely long time customers on Thursday night. I CASE’d the idea from Marelle Taylor’s blog but tweeked the colours and embellishments.
The large Wildflower Meadow stamp has been inked with Versamark ink to create tone on tone stamping and then the image is placed in the matching embossing folder and run through the Big Shot..
To get the matt behind the stamped punched image, simply punch out another artisan label piece in contrast colour, cut it half across the narrowest point, then layer behind the top and bottom edges of your stamped punched piece.
Stamps – Wildflower Meadow, Label Love
Card – Garden Green, Pear Pizzazz, Very Vanilla, Calypso Coral, Crisp Cantalope
Embellishments – Wildflower Meadow embossing folder, Big Shot, Artisan Label punch, Chevron ribbon Pear Pizzazz and Calypso Coral

One of our esteemed midwives is finally calling it a day and I was asked to make a farewell card for her. It was a hard decision as to what style of card to make – had to large enough for everyone to sign, plus look terrific. I ultimately decided on an accordion card as I could get several card faces into it and hopefully have room for everyone to sign on the back – but probably not, there are lots of staff who will want to sign the card!
I opted to use some retired items as I have them there to be used – so why not! So here is the card front.
This opens up to this –
And here is one of the card faces in detail –
It was a labour of love as I have known Jannette since I was a student midwife in 1982 and have enjoyed working with her on night duty for the last 9 years plus. It will be a big loss to our Birth Suite to see all years of wisdom leaving us. I hope it has been imparted onto all of us over the years.
Card – Pretty in Pink, Pool Party, Chocolate Chip and Whisper White
Ink – Pretty In Pink, Pool Party
Stamps – Creative Elements, Best of Butterflies
Extras – Big Shot, Delicate Doilies Sizzlits, Timeless Type Alphabet Sizzlets, Bigz Alphabet, Pretty in Pink stitched ribbon, Basic Rhinestones
Wishing Jannette all the best in her well earned retirement!
Here is another of my bouncing brayer cards. This one uses the big Sunflower stamp and the brayering has been done with Daffodil Delight and Crushed Curry inks. The sunflower is stamped in black Staz-On ink.
Matted onto Daffodil Delight and folded Crushed Curry card. All finished off with Dafodil Delight tafetta ribbon. Actually very quick and easy to create!
Hope it gives you some ideas!

Sadly Paperific is over for another year and we have to wait a whole year for the next one. 🙁
I have had a wonderful three days working for Naomi at the Show and meeting all the enthusiastic paper crafters attending, saying hi to my Stampin’Up! customers and chatting with the exhibitors. It is a fabulous show and a real downer when it is all over. People hang out all year for Paperific and the really keen ones were there an hour before the show opened.
Here is the view I had from my spot at the ticket box.
It was fun to watch everyone deciding on what to buy and even better to see the exhibitors stock running lower and lower as we want them to have a terrific show so as they return next year!!!!!
So thanks Naomi for a great Paperific and bring on the next one in 2014!!!! Can’t wait!!!!!
