As you know I am loving making these cards and I always have so many ideas when I start trying out a new style of card. I also want to give my class ladies as much inspiration as I can when they come along to my classes. So I create lots of samples for them to see!
Here is another one of my card in a box creations. This one uses the Flower Shop stamp set and matching Pansy punch .
I have been wanting to try one of these cards using an embossed card to decorate rather than patterned paper. Then I decided I’d try it with Core’dinations cardstock. One way to combine two ideas in the one card!
What do you think of it? The colours are Melon Mambo and Daffodil Delight Core’dinations card.
No fussy cutting needed for this card which is a time saver! All done with punches and sizzlit/Big Shot.
Last class for the month is tomorrow. Hope my class ladies like this one!
Here is another one of my Card in a box samples that you can recreate in my March technique classes this month. My last class is being held this Saturday March 29 at 1.30pm and there are still a couple of spare seats. If you would like to come along class is held in Mt. Waverley and cost is $20.
Email me – email@example.com if you would like to make a booking.
I love the designs in the Fresh Prints Paper Stacks in the Occasions catalogue!
This card in a box is a smaller version of my previous samples. This one will fold flat and fit into a standard C6 size envelope. In class you will have a choice to make this size or the larger size card in a box. You will also make a paper prototype of each size to keep in your technique file.
I have seen some lovely creations on Pinterest using the Hexagon Hive Thinlits Big Shot die. Here is my take on it.
I have overlaid the cut out piece using dimensionals over Tangerine Tango card which I embossed using the Sale-a-bration embossing folder – Decorative Dots. You can still earn this folder for free during Sale-a-bration if you make a $90 order in my online store up to March 31. After this date you will have to wait until the 2014-2015 Annual Catalogue is released in July, when it will be available to order in my store.
The bees are from the set Backyard Basics and are cut out using the matching framelits die.I added Dazzling Details to the wings to add a bit of sparkle to the whole card.
The bees were stamped on Watercolour Wonder Designer Series paper to give more light weight appearance and graduation in colour background.

My son’s girlfriend graduated from her University yesterday, so that calls for a card! I saw a card sketch on Clean & Simple that I thought would be perfect for my new stamp set – Pomp & Circumstance
You can see it in the current Occasions catalogue or click on the stamp set title above.
I embossed the graduation caps with black embossing powder and the sentiment has been embossed in gold.
Cardstock – Basic Black, Smoky Slate, Bermuda Bay, Whisper White. A combination I found on my Stampin’Up! Colour Coach. A real help for when you are stuck on which colours to use!
Thanks for stopping by!
I am so in love with this style of card! I wish I had more hours in the day to create them as I have so many ideas using different stamp sets.
Here is a sample card I have made as inspiration for my class ladies this month. It uses the cute stamp set Life in the Forest
If you are into fussy cutting you are going to love making this card! I did have a lot more stamped images from the set cut out and ready to pop on the card but decided less is more. What do you think?
Do you like my grass?
It is created using the new Fringe Scissors
I thought I was being terribly clever using them here!!!!!! Sometimes the simplest things amuse me!

These cute cards were made for the recent Scrapbooking & Papercraft Show. They featured on one of my display posters to show a lovely way of using these fabulous papers in the Fresh Prints Paper Stack available in the current Occasions catalogue.
Reverse negative cards are very easy to do and you can make a whole stash of them in one sitting. For these cards I used the butterfly framelit die from the set Backyard Basics. I had lots of fun making these!
Cards measure 4×4 inches when folded. The Whisper White card section that has the negative cutout is raised off the folded card with Dimensionals, this gives the cut out image more depth. The sentiment banners are also raised up by using Dimensionals.

I like the simple layout – one I saved from a blog I subscribe to – clean & simple. Check it out for great layout ideas that are exactly that – clean and simple!
The lovely Designer Series Paper is a pack I received as part of Prize Patrol at last years Stampin’Up! Convention. One of the fun and exciting parts of Convention. If you have never been to one you really need to think about coming to the next one in May here in Melbourne!

This is a card I actually made last year but going through my posts I can’t see that I have shown you this one on my blog. I certainly hope I am not repeating myself!!!!
Any way I love this stamp and I have seen so many lovely cards created using it. I should make some time to have a further play with it but then another lovely stamp set beckons and it is side tracked that I get! You can see the stamp – Beautifully Baroque on page 113 of the annual catalogue.
I actually needed an engagement card in a hurry ( you know how your kids are, last minute notice is standard most of the time!) and this turned out to be just the case.
