My gifts to my roomies are the kraft journal and the little gift box with the Tangelo Twist ribbon. Inside was a pot of lip wax.
I’ll give you more details when I get home. My laptop is being very slow…….
Before I leave I wanted to share another of my class samples from my Napkin Fold card classes last week.
I love the Back to Black Designer Series Paper and w3ith the retirement list now released you can now purchase these papers and other sets of DSP from the retiring annual catalogue at 50% discount – wow what a bargain! I have stocked up on my favourite papers from this catalogue!
So here is the card closed and below that is the card opened.
The stamps used come from the matching stamp set for this set of papers A Happy Hooray and the hostess set Because You Care. Both these sets are retiring also.
I’ll be in touch next time from the Gold Coast!
For this particular card I decided to go a bit lighter with the sponging and not make the colour too vibrant as I felt softer was better for a “Thinking of You” card.
Colours used for the sponging are Pool Party, Mossy Meadow and Hello Honey.
Until next post, Cheers!
My lovely team of demonstrators spent a few hours out at the Melbourne Showgrounds setting up for Paper Arts Tarts Expo which starts tomorrow and runs for three paper addiction days. We would love to catch up with you if you can make it!
We have a gorgeous display to inspire you plus we are running a range of classes which you can book at our Stampin’Up! Stand or visit here to make a booking.
Here’s our stand!
Hope to see you there over the next three days as you crop, swap and shop!
The excuse to get the card made was I making sample cards for our upcoming Stampin’Up! stand and display at the Paper Arts Tarts Show on this weekend at the Melbourne Showgrounds. See more here.
To create Crayon Resist all you have to do is :-
I have also made this card up in Pool Party card which I think looks even prettier but I haven’t taken a photo yet. When I do I will add it to this post. See below for the Pool Party version! This one was done in Pink Pirouette.
So I have dry embossed the tulips and added some colour with an Old Olive marker by colouring in the leaves and stems on the back of the image. If you would like to know how to create this look go to this post.
The embossing folder is Lovely Lace.
I do like this single stamp. If you didn’t want the words on your card you could mask them off as you stamp, or do as a lot of demonstrators do, cut the words off the stamp and mount them separately. I like the quotation so I kept it on my stamp. I’m not sure that this stamp will continue past the Occasions catalogue which ends June 2nd so if it is on your wish list you only have a couple of months to save up for it.
The card is finished off with white satin ribbon and Subtles Candy Dots. I really like it!
Hope you are having a lovely Easter.
If you haven’t seen these masks in the catalogue, they are page 205. You have a choice of Hearts and Stars or Dots and Stripes. So for the basket I cut it out using the Big Shot and then using the star mask/stencil I sponged Early Espresso ink onto the Kraft Cardstock, which is a heavier weight card available in the Annual catalogue page 192.
The basket trim was stamped with the Chalk Lines stamp set, as was the handle. Flower stamp is from Petal Potpourri and punched out using the matching Flower Medallion punch.
The thankyou tag is from the Tea Party stamp set.
I hope the Easter bunny came to visit – Happy Easter!
