Double Z – Fold Card – Stampin’Up! Moon Baby Card

Over the next few posts I will share with you the cards created in my February Double Z- Fold classes. To begin I have my Moon Baby card which I made for the class but then once our new grandchild had arrived and we all knew if we had a boy or girl, I made another version more appropriate for our gorgeous grand daughter.

The card below is my original version. I had a lovely time colouring the images with the Stampin’Up! new watercolour pencils and blending the colours using a blender pen. The baby jumpsuit has been coloured in using the Bermuda Bay pencil – a good gender neutral colour.

Now here is my grand daughters card. The jumpsuit is now coloured in using Melon Mambo pencil.

A bit of fussy cutting was required but I find fussy cutting like colouring to be a relaxing past time. The images were stamped on watercolour card with black Staz-On ink. The next few images give a more detailed view of the card. The card base is Night of Navy and the matts are Marina Mist card.

The cut out images were adhered to the card base using Stampin’Up! dimensionals to make them pop off the page. I love the sayings in this cute stamp set! You will find this set in the Occasions catalogue page 17 and it comes in red rubber either as woodmount or clearmount.

Come by again soon to see the rest of my class samples.

Blooms and Wishes Quick Card

Wow the days do fly by these days! I have been stamping and creating still I just have not had the time to get online and post my creations. Being a Grandma has kept me away from my blogging!

Todays card is another quick and easy one using the Blooms & Wishes stamp set from the Annual catalogue on page 139.

I used a tried and trusted layout and randomly stamped the images across a piece of Whisper White card using Sweet Sugar Plum, Rich Razzleberry , Blushing Bride and Mint Macaron inks. It is abit hard to pick up in the photo but I then spattered the card piece with gold Wink of Stella pen.

The stamped card has been matted onto a mint macaron card piece a Blushing Bride ribbon piece has been added and then the stamped card has been adhered to folded Sweet Sugar Plum card. A sentiment at the bottom and my card is completed.

Always good to have a quick go to layout in your repetoire!

Pop of Paradise Card

I hope you all had a very nice Valentine’s Day, Mine was extra special as we celebrated the birth of our first grandchild the day before! A cute little girl named Blake. So hence my absence from posting and creating as I assisted my son and daughter-in-law settle in at home with their baby girl.

So prior to the expected arrival I have been stamping up a storm and making at least two cards a day as I knew I was going to lose creative days in the future.
As mentioned previously I am working through the stacks of stamp sets on my desk that have been awaiting ink to adorn them. So a set that has been sitting there since preorder for the 2016-2017 Annual Catalogue was Pop of Paradise. Finally it has seen the light of day!!! We sometimes forget there is a whole Annual catalogue to goggle at when the new mini catalogues come out but it is there and all available until May 31this year.

To create my card I randomly stamped the leaves in Emerald Envy ink and pineapples in Crushed Curry ink on Whisper White card. I wrapped a length of Organza ribbon and layered it with Flirty Flamingo ruched ribbon before layering the stamped piece of card onto a Whisper White matt. This was then layered onto folded Emerald Envy card.
The flamingo was stamped in Flirty Flamingo ink and fussy cut. It is layered using Dimensionals over a sentiment cutout using Layering Ovals framelits. A tussle of black metallic thread adds a bit of something extra along with a random scatter of white sequins finish off the card.

Hope to be back again in a day or two.

Bear Hugs Card for Valentines Day.

Here is my card for my fabulous supportive husband of 36 years. It is a card layout I have been wanting to try since pinning a sample to my Pinterest board. back at the start of 2016 when the Bear Hugs stamp set and matching framelits were first released. Better late than never!!!

I have changed the Designer Series Paper to make it more Valentines Day appropriate using the Sending Love Designer Series Paper Stack of papers.

Base card and bear colour is Crumbcake. Ink is Black Memento.

Happy Valentines Day tomorrow everyone!

Dragonfly Dreams Combines with Inside the Lines Sale-a-bration DSP

I do like to work with monochromatic palettes and this card is right up there with cards I like to create.
I’ve used the Inside the Lines Sale-a-bration Designer Series Paper as a background feature without colouring in any of the pretty design. This pack of  four different design papers is another of the great items you can choose for free when you make a $90 (Aust) during Sale-a-bration on until March 31.

Each square of paper has been mounted onto a Basic Black card square and popped up off the card base with dimensionals. I found this was the easiest way to get perfect placement and alignment of my squares on the base card.

The lovely collection of dragonflies are part of the very lovely Detailed Dragonfly Thinlits dies. Using the Big Shot Precision Plate ensures a perfect cut out every time. I have cut out the images from silver foil to make this lovely card highlight.

The greeting comes from Blooms & Wishes stamp set in the Annual Catalogue. I have silver embossed the stamped sentiment.

If you would like to make an order click on the items pictured below to go to my online Stampin’Up! store.

I hope you like my card and thanks for stopping by!

Sale-abration – So Very Much and Avant Garden One Layer Card

I have another Sale-a-bration card creation to share with you today. My card is a one layer card using the Sale-a-bration stamp sets Avant Garden and So Very Much. During Sale-a-bration you can have these stamp sets for free. You can choose from theses sets and others in the Sale-a-bration catalogue and receive one of them for free with each order of $90 Aust.

The Avant Garden stamp set is photopolymer making placement super easy as you stamp the flower border around the outer card edges. I’ve used Crumbcake, Soft Sky and Chocolate Chip as my colour palette. The base card is thick Whisper White.

The thankyou stamp has been embossed using copper embossing powder. Some Soft Sky Enamel Shapes add the finishing touch to my very quick and easy  single layer card.

Hope I inspire you to try out this design!

Stampin’Up! Sale-a-bration – Tasty Trucks Card

We have an Inksationals team meeting next week and I gave the members of my team who are able to attend a challenge. If they have the Tasty Trucks Sale-a-bration stamp set, to make a card and bring it along to share with everyone. I had not yet played with my set so this was an extra incentive to get me using my Tasty Trucks stamp set!

And here is the card I created!

The truck was coloured in using my Stampin’Up! marker pens. I had originally planned to use watercolour pencils but the colours did not match the colours in the Tasty Treats Designer Series paper I had chosen to use as a background.

Colours in the papers are Watermelon Wonder, Peekaboo Peach, Pool Party, Pear Pizzazz, Crumbcake and Chocolate Chip.

I stamped the truck and fussy cut it out and then overlaid it Using Dimensionals on the same image stamped on a Whisper White circle.

Hope the team like it!

Dragonfly Dreams Card

Here is the final project that my customers made at my recent catalogue launch. It uses the gorgeous Dragonfly Dreams bundle. The card was CASE’d from one I saw on Pinterest.

I love the simplicity of this card and plan to make it again in different colours. Here I used Pool Party card and ink. The folded main card is Thick Whisper White.

The dragonfly is stamped using Memento Black ink and a wash of Wink of Stella Clear applied over the wings to make them sparkle. It is always so hard to show it in a photo!

The embossing folder is Petal Burst from the Annual catalogue.

Thanks for stopping by.

Sending Love Notecards for Valentines Day or Everyday

Another very quick and easy project today. Cute little notecards that can be used for for that special person in your life on Valentines Day or just whenever you want to let someone you love that you care and are thinking of them. I like to pop a handmade card into my kids bags when they head off overseas and one of these cards would be ideal!

To create these notelets I used Stampin’Up! Note Cards & Envelopes in Whisper White and added a matt of Sending Love Designer Series Paper Stack papers. The sentiments come from the matching stamp set Sealed with Love and have been stamped using Real Red and Memento Black inks.

Very quick,  very easy!

Quick and Easy Sending Love Card for Valentines Day

A quick and easy card to show you today. A cute Valentines card or anytime card when you need someone to know you care. The decorative paper comes from the Sending Love Designer series paper stack, a lovely collection of 6 x 6 inch papers in Real Red and Whisper White.

My card front is 3.75 x 3.75 Real Red card with the paper panel and then the cute wooden hearts have been added and a sentiment stamped with Real Red ink. Hearts and stamp set – Sealed with Love all are part of the Sending Love Suite in the Occasions catalogue.

I am a big fan of quick and easy cards and with my personal challenge to create a card every day/second day while on leave, this style of card will feature big time!!!!
