Goodbye Sale-a-bration!

Yes it is time to say goodbye to Sale-a-bration for another year. Today is the last day to take advantage of the Sale-a-bration product bonus offers and joining offer. You have until midnight tonight to make your orders or make that decision to join Stampin’Up! and enjoy all the lovely perks that go with being a Stampin’Up! demonstrator.

As my farewell to Sale-a-bration here are two of my most recent cards made using Sale-a-bration products. The first card uses my favourite Sale-a-bration stamp set Hey Chick.

A very different layout for me but I am very pleased with this card and how it turned out. Love the Petal Burst embossing folder from the Annual catalogue.

My second card features my favourite Sale-a-bration Designer Series Paper Inside the Lines.

I had a very relaxing time using the watercolour pencils to colour and then watercolour wash this picture. Colouring in is a very peaceful past time. the sentiment comes from Banners for You and the outline stamp has a matching framelit in the Bunch of Banners framelits dies.

I hope you enjoyed the 2017 Sale-a-bration offerings and we will all look forward to seeing what is on offer in 2018. Well as demonstrator I will find out in November this year!

Stampin’Up! Remarkable You Card

The Remarkable You stamp set is another set I have had sitting on my desk awaiting ink since this time last year when I chose it as one of my free stamp sets for recruiting during Sale-a-bration. I decided to get it as I had an idea for one of my classes using this set but unfortunately that class never eventuated.

So my challenge continues –  to use all the stamps on my desk before the next new Annual catalogue is released. I have seen many versions of watercolour pencil backgrounds so decided to give that technique a try and incorporate the Remarkable You stamp set as well.

The aim is to randomly scribble the watercolour pencils across your neutral card then blend the colour with blender pen or aquapainter.  Once dry stamp your chosen image over the top using Staz -On black ink.

The added bling is the silver metallic shapes, my new go to for when I want a bit of something extra on my cards.

I will definitely be giving this technique another try in the future. Have you tried it yet?

Wishing you a terrific day!

Stampin’Up! Super Duper Cards

As demonstrators with Stampin’Up! one of the benefits we receive is a magazine titled Stampin’Success. This magazine comes out quarterly and is brimming with fabulous ideas on how to use Stampin’Up! stamps, dies and embellishments. I really enjoy reading it and trying out some of the card designs in each edition.

Last quarter there was a card featured using the Super Duper stamp set from the Occasions catalogue. Here is my CASE of it.

It is a great layout and very suitable for the boys in our lives. The colours are Dapper Denim and Peekaboo Peach. I then created the same card design in  different colours – Emerald Envy and Sweet Sugar Plum. This card design would look terrific in so many different colour combinations.

The enamel shapes add that little bit of extra pizzaz to the card. Did you know they are available in metallic like the gold ones on the first card and in the 2016-2018 In Colours as well as in the Brights, Regals and Subtles colour families. They come in packs of 100 shapes for the metallics and the other colour ways come in packs of 200 shapes.

The Stampin’Up! demonstrator publication is so helpful and full of so many brilliant ideas each month that if you made every item featured you would have over 30 new cards in your stash! This is another of the terrific perks of being a Stampin’Up! demonstrator!

Have a fun day creating!

Falling in Love Designer Series Paper Quick and Pretty Cards

My intention when I made these cards was to create congratulations cards for new grandparents. I have received some lovely cards from friends to celebrate the arrival of our new grand daughter. I love the Falling in Love papers, they are so pretty and the pink and blue prints are perfect for boy and girl congrats cards. As a bonus these cards are very quick and easy to create.

My last post featured the elegant Falling in Love embellishments and here they are again along with the Lace Doilies also from the Falling in Love Suite of products.  The doilies are versatile as they are Very Vanilla on one side and Whisper White on the other.

The Congratulations stamp is from the So in Love stamp set. All these products are in the Occasions catalogue.

Inks used are the co-ordinating colours from the papers for the girl card Blushing Bride and for the boy card Soft Sky.

I am now prepared for our next set of friends to become grandparents!

Sale-a-bration Delicate Details Card

Sale-a-bration comes to an end in days now, (March 31 actually) so if you have not made an order and recived your free Sale-a-bration items you still have time.

Here’s a card I created using the Sale-a-bration stamp set Delicate Details. This set has the prettiest lace detail stamps. Stampin’Up! stamps have such detailed quality I love stamping with them as I know every time I will get a beautiful detailed image.

The pretty Falling in Love embellishments are available in the Occasions catalogue as part of the Falling in Love Suite. They are so pretty!

I added some real Very Vanilla lace trim to add extra detail to this card. The sentiment is from another part of the Falling in Love Suite  – the stamp set is called, you guessed it – Falling in Love.

Inks used are Sweet Sugar Plum, Pool Party and Sahara Sand. Card stock is Whisper White, Pool Party and Sahara Sand.

If you like this stamp set make sure you get to and make a $90 Aust order in my Stampin’Up! online store. You can find the details below.

See you again soon!

Stampin’Up! Hostess Stamp set Pun Intended Card

The Hostess sets on offer from Stampin’Up! offer amazing value. If you look in the Annual or Occasions catalogues you will see listed the regular price for the stamp set and the price you pay when you earn Stampin’Rewards. These stamp sets are only available to customers and hostesses who have sales over $250.

For today’s card I have used the Pun Intended stamp set which has some cute images as well as some witty puns to go with them.

I’ve chosen to stamp the be image and I’ve coloured the images in using watercolour pencils, then fussy cut them out and popped them on Dimensionals to add some height to the card.

The background was stamped using one of the pun stamps in the set. I added some Wink of Stella gold spatter but it does not show up well in the photo.

Some gold sequins for some necessary bling!

Do have a look at the Hostess sets – they are there waiting for you and offer amazing value for money!

Stampin’Up! Mixed Borders CASE card

My last post was a CASE’d card and so is this one using the set Mixed Borders. I’ve CASE’d the card from page 122 of the Annual catalogue and used the layout and stamp set just changed the card stock and ink colours and the embossing folder.

Such an easy way to create a card – the majority of the thinking has been done for you!
This stamp set comprises of several long border stamps but there is an allowance in the border when you stamp it for you to then stamp your greeting.
So I have switched from a Whisper White card to a Pink Pirouette one and changed the embossing folder from Lovely Lace to Sparkle.

Stampin’Up! Special Reason CASE card

When the crafters block sets in it is fabulous to have the Stampin’Up! catalogues to refer to and find a card to CASE ( Copy and show everyone ).  When the mojo goes missing that takes the effort out of trying to think of something new! So with this card I have done just that – copied the layout, used the same stamp set, just changed the papers and colours.

This is such a simple and pretty design and card. When having to come up with a new card each day, the odd CASE card really makes the challenge a lot easier!

Not long until Sale-a-bration ends! If you ordered the Special Reason Wood-Mount bundle of stamp set and matching framelits at $92.50Aust you would have yourself a free exclusive Sale-a-bration item straightaway. Click on the product displays below to go to my online Stampin’Up! store. You can find the Sale-a-bration items in the Sale-a-bration section of the store.

We had my Inksationals Team Night this week. We always do a couple of quick and easy make and take cards at our meetings. This is my project card for everyone attending this month.

Card base – Thick Whisper White card.

Background paper is Flirty Flamingo from the In Colour Designer Series Paper Stack 2016-2018.

Best Birds Card for CASEing the Catty

This card is not my usual style at all and I am still looking at it at times and thinking about whether I like it or not. I think it is growing on me. I already had the swirly bird circle background stamped when playing around with another idea for a card. This weeks CASEing the Catty pages were posted Sunday night and there was a circle background so my challenge to myself was to create a card for CASEing the Catty using that already stamped cardstock.

Keeping my other challenge going, I also had to use a new stamp set I had not inked up yet. Yes the pile on my desk is diminishing. Yes I buy way too many stamp sets but that’s why I am a demonstrator so I can get them all at a discount!!!! Plus I love them all!!!! That’s why I never ( well very rarely ) sell any of my retired stamp sets so you can imagine after 10 years of being a demonstrator there are quite a few stashed away in my spare room.

Anyway I am off the track with this post! Here is my card for CASEing the Catty.

The set I chose for inking up was Best Birds from the Annual catalogue page 53 and I combined it with the Birds & Blooms Thinlit dies which you can buy as a bundle and save 10%. Using the dies saved on the fussy cutting making getting a card put together just that bit quicker! The die cut pieces are popped up off the card with Dimensionals.

To be different I added a background of Fabulous Foil Acetate and attached it with washi tape from the Affectionately Yours set of tapes. The wording comes from the popular Sale-a-bration stamp set Hey Chick.
If you like my card you could go to CASEing the Catty and vote for my card or any of the other cards entered for this weeks challenge. Better still how about you enter the challenge?

I’d be interested to know what you think of this card because as I mentioned it is not my usual style and so I am quite unsure about it.

Thanks for dropping by!
