Stampin’Up! Mixed Borders CASE card

My last post was a CASE’d card and so is this one using the set Mixed Borders. I’ve CASE’d the card from page 122 of the Annual catalogue and used the layout and stamp set just changed the card stock and ink colours and the embossing folder.

Such an easy way to create a card – the majority of the thinking has been done for you!
This stamp set comprises of several long border stamps but there is an allowance in the border when you stamp it for you to then stamp your greeting.
So I have switched from a Whisper White card to a Pink Pirouette one and changed the embossing folder from Lovely Lace to Sparkle.

Stampin’Up! Special Reason CASE card

When the crafters block sets in it is fabulous to have the Stampin’Up! catalogues to refer to and find a card to CASE ( Copy and show everyone ).  When the mojo goes missing that takes the effort out of trying to think of something new! So with this card I have done just that – copied the layout, used the same stamp set, just changed the papers and colours.

This is such a simple and pretty design and card. When having to come up with a new card each day, the odd CASE card really makes the challenge a lot easier!

Stampin’Up! Summer Sorbet Card CASE

Have you ever bought a stamp set purely because you saw a card made with it and you just had to get the set and make that card? I have done this so many times and then never got around to making the card but  being on holiday, as I have mentioned before, my challenge is to use all the stamp sets piled on my desk that I have bought and make those cards.

Todays card is a classic example. I saw this card in the current 2016-2017 Annual Catalogue when I was at Stampin’Up! April OnStage last year. The stamp set – Summer Sorbet, to make the card went straight into my first order when the catalogue went online in June. Well I am pleased to say I have finally CASE’d the card that caught my eye in the catalogue!

You can see the Stampin’Up! version of the card on page 156 of the Annual Catalogue. I have changed the sentiment. That was another plus I also used the Brushwork Alphabet set, so another stamp set also released from the pile on my desk! I am pleased to say the pile is diminishing.

I am loving this challenge! Also I love this card as it was quick and easy and the colours are so vibrant. The colours are Bermuda Bay, Pumpkin Pie, Crushed Curry, Rich Razzleberry and Melon Mambo. Card base is Thick Whisper White. The Pumpkin Pie balloon was stamped as well on scrap and cut out and added to the card with Dimensionals to give some “pop” to the card.
