Pillow gifts for Brisbane On Stage Live

We are up in sunny Brisbane, Queensland. Such a warm change from the wet and chill weather we have had back home in Melbourne. Why are we here? For Stampin’Up! On Stage Live! My team and I have been looking forward to this trip and event for months! One of the highlights will be previewing the new Sale-a-bration and Occasions catalogues and better yet, getting to play with the products from these catalogues! You just have to love being a Stampin’Up! demonstrator!!!!

My pillow gifts are from a sample that my downline Simone Bartrum created for our stand display at Paperific a couple of months ago. I loved the sample as soon as I saw it and decided yes my pillow gifts for On Stage are sorted!

The cute little boxes are Clear Tiny Treat Boxes 141699 page 176 in the Annual Catalogue. They are easily missed in the catalogue but look how cute they are! Inside are eight Christmas gift tags made from Cherry Cobbler card.

The pretty paper used comes from a Designer Series Speciality Paper pack in the Annual catalogue – “This Christmas” 141628. Aren’t the tags so sweet? The tag size folded is 5x5cm. 10×5 unfolded.

The Layering Square and Layering Circle Framelits were used to cut out the paper and silver foil pieces. The 1 3/8 circle punch created the stamped sentiment piece. The stamps are from Holly Jolly Greetings 139879 page 34 Annual Catalogue. Ink is Black Memento and Smoky Slate on Very Vanilla card.
To create a pop, the silver foil sentiment piece is raised with Stampin’Dimensionals.

Punch a hole for the tag strings with the 1/8 inch hand held punch and thread through Cherry Cobbler and Garden Green Bakers Twine from the Trio pack 141999 in the Holiday catalogue.

I hope my roomies love their cute pillow gifts!

Perpetual Calendar Pillow Gifts for On Stage Local on the Gold Coast!

On Stage is happening worldwide this weekend and Stampin’Up! demonstrators all across the globe are heading off to one of the many On Stage Stampin’Up! events being held. In The South Pacific region we had the options of booking into Auckland, Sydney or the Gold Coast for On Stage Local. The main On Stage Live event is on in Salt Lake City, Utah.  I have opted to head up to the Gold Coast for a weekend of fun, news, make and takes using new products from the new 2016 Annual Catalogue, and catching up with all my good demonstrator friends.

I am sharing an apartment with three of my great Stampin’Up! friends and we have all made pillow gifts for each other. I used some inspiration from Sam Hammond Donald for my gifts. I love Pinterest and I have saved so many ideas and it is great to put some of those saves to good use! You can see Samantha’s version here.

I had to mix up my version a bit as some the products used in Sam’s creation have retired. Basically it is the same, I’ve rejigged the sentiment, the tag topper punch and the patterned papers. So here is my version of Sam’s tag box using the Perpetual Calendar stamp Set.

Inside the box are 10 tags stamped using Brights ink colours and the various background stamps from Perpetual Calendar 137167.

And here are a few of the tags closeup. The sentiments come from the set Honeycomb Hello 134075.

So we fly up to the Gold Coast tomorrow and in the evening I have an invitation to the Centre Stage event which is for Silver Elite and above demonstrators. We have business training followed by a delicious three course dinner. A great day to look forward to!

Pop back and see what my roomies come up with for their pillow gifts!

Stampin’Up! Blendabilities – My First Creation!

Here is my first creation after having my first play with my new Stampin’Up! Blendabilities. At the recent Stampin’Up! Convention we were all lucky enough to receive the Calypso Coral Blendabilities pack!  I love colouring in pictures ( the reason I took up stamping all those years ago! ) and these Blendabilities are right up my alley!

See how different the two images look? Just goes to show how adding more or less colour or blending more than less creates different levels of colour intensity. As my Stampin’Up! preorder has not arrived yet I didn’t have a black Memento ink pad to stamp my images with so instead I stamped the flowers with Versamark ink and heat embossed the image with Basic Black embossing powder. Using Staz-On ink or other inkpads will only cause your colouring in to bleed with the ink and make your image all muddy.

The gift cards are 3×3 inches. The floral image is from a retiring stamp set – Secret Garden. You only have until June 30 to purchase it then it will be GONE! I’ll be sad to see this set go as I have had so much use from it.

For the leaves I used Summer Silhouettes stamp set and on the left inked the leaves in Pear Pizzazz and on the right Old Olive.

I hope my preorder turns up soon! I can’t wait to play with all the other Blendabilities I have ordered! You will be able to order yours from July 1st!

Paperific Class

Hi Everyone! Well Paperific gets underway tomorrow and we are looking forward to a fabulous show. Did you see the double page spread on Paperific in this months Scrapbooking Memories magazine and Cardmaking, Stamping & Papercraft magazine? It is a lovely article detailing the history of Paperific from when Stacey set it all up and running to present day with Naomi.

I will be on the front desk and my Stampin’Up! team will be manning the Stampin’Up! stand, doing demonstrations with the Simply Scored Tool, free make and takes and teaching classes. I’ll also be teaching a Quick Class in the afternoon –  a cute pouch with Christmas tags which would make a great teacher gift. That’s it below.

If you would like to do this class you can book at the Stampin’Up! stand. My class starts at 2.30pm. You can book for all our Stampin’Up! Quick classes at our stand and the cost for each class is $10.

Do come by the stand and get your new 2013 copy of the Stampin’Up! catalogue plus the new Holiday Seasonal catalogue. You will love them! The stand theme is Christmas and you will get heaps of inspiration from all our lovely displays using new products from the new catalogues which go live on September 1st.

See you at Paperific!!!!!!

Christmas gift tags

My how a week goes by so quickly!

I’ve been busy doing workshops and haven’t done many new projects lately – so I thought I would show you what we are doing in my Stampin’Up! workshops this month.

I love these Christmas gift tags made using the set Winter Post. I got the idea from a tag I saw on Stampin’Addicts and I have used similar colours but a different stamp set. I’ve deleted the email and so I am sorry I can’t give credit to the lovely person who created the layout/colour way. Thankyou for your idea.

Colours are Real Red, Chocolate Chip, Whisper White and Close to Cocoa for card and Real Red and Close to Cocoa for ink. Extras are Designer label punch, double slot punch and Whisper White grosgrain ribbon.

I didn’t have a To/From stamp believe it or not so bought this set to get one and then loved how the images stamped up to create these tags. My customers have loved making them too!
