It pays to make the most of your Stampin’Up! Golden Garden Designer Specialty Acetate as it is expensive and you only get one sheet of each design in the pack. The Golden Garden Acetate has been designed to compliment the Fine Art Floral Designer Series Paper. Two of the acetate sheets have designs that overlay two of the Fine Art Floral Papers.
You can see one of these acetate sheets used in my cards above. In order to get the best usage from my acetate sheet and the matching sheet of paper, I created a larger than normal card and a regular sized card.
The larger card uses as a base card a single sheet of A4 card folded in half, that is with the cardstock in landscape score at 14.85cm and fold in half. For the regular size card you would use half a sheet of A4 card and fold that piece in half at 10.5cm. The paper and acetate were cut at a width of 10cm.
To attach the acetate to the Fine Art Floral paper I used mini glue dots and where possible I placed them over an image to try and hide their outline. When there is no image to hide them on you do see them but they are not that noticeable! Using the acetate on your cards gives them a n extra lift and adds something different to your cards.
Adding matching ribbon, a stamped image and sentiment from Art Gallery stamp set and die cut using the Floral Gallery dies finishes off the large card. The sentiment for the smaller version came from the Many Messages stamp set and die cut using the Messages die and backed with a die cut from the Stitched So Sweetly die set. Ribbons are Petal Pink Striped Organdy and Bumblebee gingham ribbon.
It’s very easy to miss this gorgeous Golden Garden Acetate in the January June mini catalogue. Do go back and give it a second look you will be pleased you did!
Happy Stamping!
